Hello

I believe that people are magic and have a brilliance in them that sometimes shows brightly, but sometimes is a bit dulled or hasn’t yet been discovered. I see my role as enabling their brilliance to be discovered; to allow them to realise what is possible for them to achieve. Or partnering with individuals, teams or organisations to enable them to make the biggest difference. I care deeply about people, I love seeing others grow, develop and most importantly realise what they have the potential to achieve – it is what I love about what I do and why I do it.

Values

The values and core beliefs that drive Inoji, guiding how we work and operate, are:

  • Exploration – understanding self and others; gaining new knowledge; making discoveries

  • Growth – investing time in others; adding value; sharing experience and knowledge; making real connections

  • Environment – both our inner environment and the space in our external environment to connect, be calm and give care

  • Wellness – flourishing; being our best – physically, mentally and emotionally; sharing connection

These are our keywords that guide how we show up in our work and how others describe us:

Fiona’s background

Fiona’s formal training is in Chemistry, so she is a scientist at heart, but - given an early career opportunity working in management development - realised she was actually more interested in people than science!

A CATALYST FOR GROWTH

Since then she has been completely fascinated by what makes people tick.

However, the science triggered her metaphor of being a catalyst for other people’s growth - a catalyst in science makes a chemical reaction go faster or produce more product - so Fiona acts as a catalyst to enable greater or more meaningful change for her clients.

She has spent over 20 years working in large organisations – manufacturing, banking, finance, retail, service, data – in the UK and overseas with local, regional, global and matrix remits. Most of her roles were in leadership development and talent management.

Developing a coaching style

Subsequently, she trained as a coach in 2006 when she realised that a coaching style was fundamentally how she leads. She discovered that it was a key part of enabling others to succeed and grow, and has been fundamental to what she does ever since.

Through facing her own leadership challenges and a tough time in her personal life, she realised she needed to re-think how she made a difference to others.

This has been key to her: challenge and change can be its own catalyst, and so she created Inoji to allow her to work in a different way.

BEHIND THE NAME INOJI

The name Inoji is a play on the word ‘energy’ – the chance for Fiona to put energy into other projects, people and organisations, plus the chance for her to help enable, find and develop the energy of others.

Since then she has worked with a bigger variety of people, organisations and sectors than she could have dreamed of; amazing opportunities to develop, to enable and to be a catalyst.

Currently, she works more in the public sector, in education and the NHS with some brilliant teams and people.
